Job Summary:University Home Care is seeking a Home Care Intake Coordinator for our Livonia, Michigan location. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the intake process for clients in need of home care services. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services to our clients. The individual in this position will act as a liaison between the client, their family members, and medical professionals to ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. This is a contractor healthcare/medical role with potential for growth within the organization.Compensation and Benefits:The Home Care Intake Coordinator will receive a competitive hourly rate of $17 to $23 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, they will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team, as well as have the potential for growth within the organization.Responsibilities:- Receive referrals from medical professionals, clients, and their family members- Coordinate and schedule initial consultations with clients and their families- Review and assess client's needs and create a personalized care plan- Verify insurance coverage and billing information- Collaborate with medical professionals to obtain necessary documentation and medical records- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to address any questions or concerns- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation- Schedule and coordinate services with the appropriate home care team members- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations- Assist with any additional administrative tasks as neededRequirements:- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree (Not Required)- Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home care- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems- Must be able to pass a background checkEEOC Statement:University Home Care is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
