Financial Analyst
at Z Modular you will be a key member of the of the growing finance team. In this role you will analyze our construction projects and support other finance initiatives. This high visibility position will report to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze the financial results of our construction projectsEnsure monthly costs for each project are recorded accurately and timelyPrepare monthly financial results for construction projects comparing to forecast and prior periodsInvestigate anomalies in financial resultsBuild project and financial forecasts, annual budgets and long-range plansPresent analysis, findings and conclusions to various groups and management levels in the organizationDesign and execute solutions to automate and improve processesProvide support for other finance initiativesAd hoc analysis and other responsibilities as assignedGENERAL REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree in finance, accounting or similar disciplineKnowledge of accounting and accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and data manipulationConstruction or project accounting experience is a plusHands-on knowledge of construction management or accounting software is plusSelf-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple priorities. Experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating ones own workExcellent interpersonal, collaborative, and presentation skills to work effectively with teams throughout organizationPositive, upbeat attitude that will embrace the Z Modular and Zekelman Industries valuesKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIESMinimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or related fieldConstruction or project management experience is a plusPrevious experience with Construction management or accounting software is plusPrevious experience with fully integrated ERP systems such as Microsoft D365 is a plus
