Job DescriptionRole - Senior Corporate Accountant | up to $110k plus bonus| North Suburbs (Hybrid)
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements and other accounting statements and reports including management reports. The Senior Accountant will review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares monthly journal entries, consolidating entries and month-end analyses.Responsible for various exhibits and commentary required for reports issued to management, outside Directors and government agencies.Coordinates typing, proofreading, issuance and filing of reportsPrepares and analyzes distribution and storage costsEvaluates and recommends improvements to accounting procedures and systems.Reconciles and analyses intercompany activity.Provides guidance to other accounting staff.Assists with special projects, year-end activities and related dutiesPrepares reconciliations of inventoryExperience
College degree in accounting3-5 years of accounting experience, CPA preferredAbility to understand and follow detailed instructionsAbility to function effectively while meeting deadlinesStrong interpersonal, communication and administrative skillsProficient with Microsoft Windows environment and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft ApplicationsFamiliarity with SAP systems is a plus#LI-GM1
