The Position

The Business Operations and Strategies division is seeking a Senior Risk Management Analyst in the Risk and Insurance Management division. This position supports the Risk Manager in executing the duties and responsibilities of the enterprise risk management program. Responsible for providing expertise on insurance, risk management, property and casualty claims administration, and contract review. This position works collaboratively with leadership, operations, insurance brokers, claimants, and employees across Clean Water Services (CWS) to identify risk exposures and opportunities, develop recommendations to reduce the loss exposures and create and implement solutions.

This position will remain open until filled. The first review of applications will begin on Monday, September 23, 2024.

Essential Functions

Provides guidance to managers and supervisors in incorporating risk management and insurance principles in CWS's business operations. Supports loss prevention across CWS by providing loss control advice and consultation to supervisors and managers of work groups and leads the investigation of claims.Assists the Risk Manager with administration of CWS insurance portfolio to ensure policies are current and coverage aligns with identified risk tolerance levels. Coordinates with CWS managers and supervisors to prepare information needed by third party partners. Prepares insurance applications, evaluates quotes, and recommends coverages, premiums, and limits. Assists in developing the commercial insurance budget.Develops, implements, and promotes insurance and risk management-related policies, procedures, and guidelines to create a comprehensive approach to identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating risks that could impact CWS's ability to achieve its business objectives.Monitors and ensures the risk management policies and strategies are observed and relevant; follows applicable federal, state and local laws, and regulations. Assists CWS managers and supervisors with guidance and risk related procurement contract review, indemnification provisions, and certificate of insurance process.Assists with risk reduction strategies which includes educating employees about insurance coverage and providing risk-related recommendations relevant to support activities. Works collaboratively with the risk management team to develop and promote the safety culture for CWS.In conjunction with the Risk Manager, assists in the development of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program including tools, practices, and policies to analyze and evaluate enterprise risks, and manage risks according to the ERM framework.Assists with the preparation of the Risk Management's program budget by monitoring claims activities, financial costs trends, and projection of liabilities and reserves.Manages all aspects of property and casualty claims.Receives and reviews accident/incident reports and associated documentation, investigates claims, and works with risk manager in determining liability.Maintains a positive working relationship with the insurance broker, insurance carriers, resolving issues, and monitoring progress towards timely and proper resolution of risk financing transactions.Assists with training and mentoring and acts as a technical resource for the risk management team.Assists in creating a positive and supportive work environment; enforces a safe workplace; establishes a culture of teamwork and communication; creates a workplace that promotes the organizational values of workplace diversity, equity and inclusion and actively promotes an environment respectful of living and working in a multicultural society.Drives a Clean Water Services vehicle for work related purposes.

5 years experience in risk management, claims management, loss prevention, workers' compensation, commercial insurance, or a multi-line risk management program. Public sector experience is preferred;

College level coursework or training in business, risk management, insurance, or related field.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:Upon selection, candidate must possess and maintain a valid State issued driver's license.

Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Risk and Insurance Management Society Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) preferred.Additional Information

Depending on hours worked and duration of the position, temporary employees may qualify for an offer of medical benefits, deferred compensation, and employee discounts. Temporary employees are eligible for sick leave at the rate of .0334 per hour worked upon beginning employment and may carry over up to 40 hours into the next calendar year.
