Join the team at The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, a year round, full service restaurant located at Hersheypark. The Chocolatier serves up family fare with a fun spin, and hints of chocolate for lunch and dinner. The space features past and present pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection, one-of-a-kind views of neighboring attractions, and a second-story patio and bar. The Chocolatier celebrates the life and legacy of our founder, Milton S. Hershey, by continuing to bring people together for happiness, fun, and of course, chocolate. This position is responsible for expediting all food items according to standardized recipes with speed and consistency of quality. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Plating, garnishing, and expediting food*Maintaining communication with front of house staff to ensure timely service to the guests*Using safe food handling procedures*Assisting with training*Minimizing waste*Ensuring that all work areas remain clean and organized including walk in freezer, refrigerator, dry stock, and storage areas*Ensuring that all food products are stored properly*Performing other duties as assignedQualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age or olderKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to exhibit proper food handling procedures in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations and adhere to all ServSafe guidelines.Ability to follow and troubleshoot recipes/menu items with little or no difficultyAbility to efficiently set up and maintain workstationAbility to demonstrate the outlet style of cuisine through food tasting and preparationAbility to assist Chef with maintaining accurate inventory levelsAbility to work with position, supportive attitude, skill, speed, and cleanlinessJob Demands:
Based on operational need, the working schedule may include up to 40+ hours per weekFlexible schedule required, including days, evenings, split shifts, weekends and holidaysPhysical requirements include standing for long periods of time and ability to lift at least 40 poundsMust be comfortable working in temperature variationsNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
