CNC Machinist 2nd Shift (M-Th 3:30PM-3:00AM)

The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts machined using standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman) to provide components for mission-critical civilian and defense programs. Key Responsibilities Previous CNC Operator experience: mill turn and latheGD&T print readingKnowledge of calipers, micrometers, metrology.Experience with machine set-ups.Ability to indicate vices.Coordinate x, y, zKnowledge of machining principles.Operate CNC machines from provided work instructions from work order or set up personnelVerifying dimensional characteristics of partsMeet expected cycle times and production scheduleCompletion of all required paperwork in a timely manner Requirements Previous CNC Operator experience; Min. of 4 yearsPrevious set-up experience; Min. of 1 year Reading blueprints and using hand toolsPrioritizing tasks and maintaining production goalsSelf-starter with a good attitudeAttention to detail and a strong desire to produce quality productsExperience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques is preferredPrevious experience in Aerospace or defense machining environment preferred.Ability to obtain secret security clearance highly desirableOur work environment is fast-paced and professional while providing continued growth fostered by our commitment to teamwork.
