What you will do

Role Overview:

The Tax Provision Senior Associate will assist with preparation of US, Canadian, Mexican income tax provisions, the estimated tax projection, and Canadian corporate and partnership income tax returns. You will research issues relating to federal and state tax matters.

Main responsibilities:

Prepare quarterly tax provisions and deferred tax calculations to ensure deferred tax balances are accurately reportedPrepare quarterly tax provision's effective tax rate computationsInteract with Accounting Department staff and other departments as needed to ensure that the Tax Department obtains all information needed for the tax provision calculation and reportingPrepare projected income tax estimates under various assumptionsPrepare Canadian corporate and partnership income tax returns and withholding tax returnsProvide due diligence support to M&A and portfolio management departments including review of cost segregation studiesResearch Canadian corporate and partnership income tax issues and identify ways to optimize tax obligationsAdditional duties as requiredEmployment type

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting5+ years in public or industry experience including 2+ years in preparing or reviewing tax provisionsCPA preferredStrong technical knowledge of federal and state corporate and partnership taxationIn depth understanding of accounting principlesKnowledgeable with SOX Act regulationsUnderstanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred; Strong Microsoft Excel skills (knowledge of complex functions and formulas)Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferredTravel:

Up to 10%
