Overview:

Kemin Nutrisurance is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to join their team! In this role, this person is responsible for IPRA team activities, regulatory submission, management of regulatory projects and compliance functions.Nutrisurance is the Pet Food and Rendering Technologies Division of Kemin Industries. Successful candidates for this position will have prior experience working in regulatory affairs for the food or feed industry, with a scientific background.Location: Des Moines Iowa, with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.We Are Kemin

Provide overall guidance and direction for regulatory.Assume regulatory compliance for Kemin products and develop regulatory strategies to achieve product registrations on a timely basis.Serve as a Kemin liaison to major regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to FDA, CFIA, USDA, OSHA, etc. as needed.Coordinate and conduct training for new employees in the RA area, or for company employees on new regulatory topics (new regulations, legislation).Manages M3 and IPRA documentation.Responsible for product labelling for Kemin Industries.Work with other departments such as, but not limited to Scientists, Sales, Quality Control Staff, Executives, and Customers.

Responsibility for product formulas and product claims for Kemin.

Assist in management of product recalls for Kemin products.Assist with a transactional document request docket as needed.

Draft legal requested documents using templates and adjust or amend as needed.Review permission to publish documents and audit business unit output.Actively participates in Food and Safety Compliance projects.Attend industry trade shows; stay current on trends and stay current on trends as they affect regulations.Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of related experienceScience Degrees preferred

Must be customer service-oriented and work well with varied personalities inside and outside of the corporationAdvanced Computer skills, including docketing software, labeling software, and MS office including word, excel, and PowerPointAbility to read, write, handle basic math problemsProject management skills without supervisionMust understand regulations as applicableStrong written and oral communication skillsBasic computer knowledgeAnalytical abilitiesA post-offer background check and drug screen is required.
