We are looking for a knowledgeable and talented individual to join our Supply Chain team as a Trade Compliance and Regulatory Analyst. In this role, you'll be at the cutting edge of ensuring our global operations comply with all import and export regulations. You'll collaborate across departments, with suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to not only ensure we comply with all international trade regulations, but also to uphold our promise of delivering an unparalleled customer experience every single time.
What You'll Be Doing
Research and substantiate various domestic and international regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with applicable rules and regulations. Advise and support the business on import and export compliance matters while maintaining adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Conduct and validate export classifications for products, parts, and components. Submit classification ruling requests as needed to DDTC, BIS, or CBP. Stay current with applicable rules and regulations, advising management of any regulatory and trade issues that may impact our course of business or our customers. Accurately prepare, audit, and submit Post Summary Corrections and Duty Drawback import records. Analyze, identify, and develop compliance training programs to correct deficiencies in regulatory compliance. Draft and submit licenses and agreements to the relevant regulatory authorities. Perform health checks of compliance data housed in ERP and integrated systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop, maintain, and update work instructions and SOPs to reflect current regulatory requirements. Take on additional projects and duties as assigned to support the business. Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of practical experience in Trade Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Associate degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In-depth knowledge of ITAR, EAR, CBP, and other applicable US Import/Export regulations. Strong knowledge of navigating various regulatory requirements and agencies such as FDA, CPSC, CE, FCC, etc. Ability to read, comprehend, and apply government regulations, forms, and reports. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize business needs. A strong desire for growth and development through continued education, training, and professional development opportunities. Preferred Experience and Skills
