Job DescriptionThis position will work out of the Select Chemistry office. Select Chemistrys Accountant will be responsible for performing basic accounting functions, including various types of entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and account analysis as required. This is not a remote position.The essential job functions include, but are not limited toMaintain a documented system of accounting entries.Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing process including journal entry activity, general ledger maintenance, analysis of financial data, preparation of special reports, and ensure accurate and timely accounting information in accordance with established procedures.Prepare monthly account reconciliations as assigned and detailed account analysis.Maintain fixed asset subledger as well as fixed asset reports.Understand intercompany transactions and reconcile/record entries.Utilize a comprehensive set of controls to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Ensure internal controls are followed to protect the Company, assist in development of internal controls.Coordinate provision of information to external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit.Support external and internal audits, coordinate responses and corrective management actions to address discrepancies or noncompliance issues.Work with regional personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting records.Handle highly confidential information and material.Participate in accounting system upgrades and/or initiatives.Other dutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:Advanced degree required, discipline in accounting and/or finance, CPA a plus.2-4 years in accounting, preferably with an energy/manufacturing company.Prior experience working with monthly close deadlines, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.Must possess mathematical skills and ability to produce quality spreadsheets.Must have strong computer skills including MS Excel and accounting software packages, MS Dynamics 365 a plus.Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Knowledgeable in GAAP.Must be capable of interacting with all levels of personnel in the organization, as well as third parties.Self-starter who is willing to accept responsibility and ownership for their function within the Company.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and workload effectively, excellent time management skills.Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.Strong leadership and people skills.Select Values and Guiding PrinciplesW:

Physical Demands and ExposuresThis position works inside a climate-controlled environment. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.Monday Friday, 8am-5pm.Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
