Senior Accountant

Financial Statement preparation to include analyzing variances in the P&L and meet deadlines in accordance with a month-end closing calendarFacilitate and complete month-end closing procedures to include general ledger reconciliations, journal entries and have the ability to research and determine the most effective means of handling accounting transactions.Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements and general ledger functions.Maintain and create accounts within the accounting software for general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables.Works with direct reports to establish goals and objectives each year and monitor progress to enhance professional development of staff.Coordinate meetings with Strategic Planning and Analysis to communicate general ledger activity in relation to department budgets.Support the Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.Assist CFO and Controller with annual financial audit and tax return (Form 990) preparationAssist CFO and Controller with School Agreed Upon Procedures CPA Report ReviewsResearch, develop and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAPCoordinate meetings with Strategic Planning and Analysis to communicate general ledger activity in relation to department budgets.Maintain and create accounts within the accounting software for general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables.Support the Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.Works with direct reports to establish goals and objectives each year and monitor progress to enhance professional development of staff.

This position will pay $30-36 per hour based on experience.
