Sr. Financial Analyst - FP&A

Reporting to Director, FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will be a key member of the FP&A team, will provide support to the Director and working closely the Senior Leadership Team, Finance Teams, and other teams within USA's operations as a key business partner.

The Senior Financial Analyst will own and support various financial reporting tools, financial planning, and analysis mandates and will work closely with various finance departments and operational teams to meet FP&A goals and objectives. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key business partner working directly with management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations and develop reports to drive the business.

The Senior Financial Analyst will manage routine deliverables as well as be involved with continuous improvement projects as well as ad-hoc finance projects throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Budgeting:

Support monthly rolling forecast process (EBITDA and CAPEX). Support annual budgeting process and delivery the annual budget. Assist with preparation of the 5-year strategic plan. Finance Systems:

Own Finance Business Intelligence tool (VIVID) for data validation and mappings to/from ERP system (PDI) and Consolidation system (OneStream). Build various financial reports in VIVID and OneStream by working closely with operations, finance teams and other. Support Business Intelligence Team with financial data validations of Power BI reports. Understand data flows among various systems within Parkland and find the best solutions to integrate and build reports efficiently and effectively. Reporting and Analysis

Develop meaningful reports that presents complex financial analysis in a concise and user-friendly way that would be of high value to operations and the business. Assist with preparation of monthly management reports/presentations. Manage and perform quantitative analysis on a wide variety of matters to help management in decision making, including capex spending decisions, business tenders, and review of market/business line performance. Support and analyze investment cases of acquisitions to set up targets and perform "lookback" analysis. Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive the business. Process Improvements

Take a leadership role in the development of process improvements and automate reports and reduce reporting time. Understand the current and future state of USA's accounting and operational systems and look for process improvements for automation to reduce/eliminate manual processes and increase efficiency and effectiveness in providing information. Special ad hoc projects

Support USA M&A activities. Develops ad hoc reports/analysis as required. Qualifications

Strong critical and analytical skills to validate and challenge information provided by various sources. Proven ability to bridge the gap between finance and financial systems. Advanced Excel, Power BI, Power Point, and working knowledge in various ERP systems (PDI, OneStream, EPM, SAP). Demonstrate extensive abilities and/or developing and writing reports using various BI tools. 7+ years of experience in finance analysis and systems management. University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent. Accounting/Finance Designation is an asset. Ability to work in an ever-changing environment and deal with time sensitive issues. Ability to keep multiple projects with varying timeliness moving ahead contemporaneously. Must be a team player with the ability to work independently and be accountable for results. Possess the capacity to listen / consult / advise and provide solutions for a variety of stakeholders who may have concurrent or competing priorities. We Offer:
