Job Description:
The
Sr. Accountant, Financial Reporting
will report to OneOncology's
Sr. Director, Asst. Corporate Controller
and will be responsible for timely and accurate production of financial reporting deliverables for the Company's internal and external stakeholders under US GAAP. This position will work closely with the Practice Accounting team to assist in technical accounting topics and assist in the month-end close process. The position will also work on ad hoc projects primarily related to financial reporting, technical accounting, lease accounting, month-end close and internal process improvement. While the individual will work primarily within the Corporate Accounting team, the role will interface directly with a diverse array of functions including Practice Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis and Strategic Finance.
This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of financial reporting deliverables with an eye for process improvement and automation opportunities:
Monthly financial statement reportingQuarterly lender reporting packageAnnual consolidated financial statements and footnotes
Research complex accounting issues and document technical accounting position papersAlign with practice accounting to ensure accurate acquisition accountingProvide support for external audits, working closely with independent accounting firmPrepare ad-hoc internal and external financial reporting and analysesCoordinate timely preparation and review of month-end balance sheet reconciliationsIdentify areas of process improvement, recommend changes, and execute improvementsOther duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancerKey Competencies
Strong communication skills - ability to influence others while making direct pointsDetail-oriented, natural ability to pay close attention to detailsStrong technical accounting knowledge and ability to research technical accounting mattersAbility to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completionStrong problem-solving skills with an ability to offer alternative solutions to each problemProven collaboration skills, work with a sense of urgency, and prioritize action itemsQualifications
Accounting degree (with graduate degree preferred, but not required)Two to four years of experience in finance and/or accounting is required, with particular preference for public accounting experienceProven knowledge of GAAPStrong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics requiredStrong Excel skills are requiredWorking knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plusActive CPA license or working toward CPA license requiredA team-player attitude that demonstrates a willingness to help various departments throughout the Company on ad-hoc projects.Initiative and desire to take ownership of projects and function with a high-level of autonomy and discipline within a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.Position is located in Nashville
