We are looking for an energetic and diligent Staff Accountant to join our Finance department. Reporting directly to the Controller, the role will support TradeStations Broker-Dealer and FCM operations, and affiliates. The Staff Accountants primary responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with the monthly close, financial analysis and regulatory reporting. In addition, the person will assist in providing information to internal and external auditors.
What You'll Be Doing :Prepare daily cash reconciliationsPrepare journal entries and reconciliations for monthly financial closeAssist in the preparation of regulatory filingsAssist in the research and resolution of any issues involving accounts, records and reports generated within the departmentAssist with gathering data and information requests in connection with external auditsRecommend and implement process improvements where appropriateAssist with 'ad-hoc' requestsThe Skills You Bring :Detail oriented with strong analytical and organization skillsGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of managementSolid comprehension of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar systemsProficiency in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office productsHighly motivated, a self- starter and a team player willing to take on new responsibilitiesAbility to effectively handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a deadline driven environmentMinimum Qualifications :BA/BS in Accounting3+ years of accounting experience requiredDesired Qualifications :Financial services industry experience, is preferredCertified Public Accountant preferredWhat We Offer :Collaborative work environmentCompetitive SalariesYearly bonusComprehensive benefits for you and your family starting Day 1Unlimited Paid Time OffFlexible working environmentTradeStation Account employee benefits, as well as full access to trading education materialsPay Range (US) $76K-90K.
