A Brief OverviewPerforms financial review and analysis. Collects, prepares and analyzes data, accounting records and financial studies. Develops and maintains various statistical analysis and makes presentations of financial data as required.

What you will do

Develops various statistical analyses and financial forecasting computer models as needed, utilizing spreadsheets and database management. •Prepares/analyzes financial models of current operations. •Prepares business plans for new and existing business as required. •Assists in the development of pro formas for new ventures, new equipment and other new programs. •Coordinates the gathering of specific information from Accounting, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care, Human Resources and other departments involved in the development of financial reports/analysis. •Prepares financial feasibility, cost/benefit, profitability and administrative/planning analysis and reports. •Develops various lease/purchases analyses, as well as comparative analysis of various debt options. •Develop and state assumptions, gather data regarding volume, revenue and resource utilization. Evaluates and analyzes all sources of financial and other data used in forecasts or reports and documents. •Produce comprehensive reports to support management decision-making.Consults with departments to develop cost accounting standards; validates and maintains standards. Analyzes and update cost accounting data, and produces reports for use by departments for cost management.Assists in the development of the budget for assign areas of responsibly by creating worksheets, identifying data sources and gathering departmental information. Analyzes data, identify variances and provides reports for management review.Prepares, maintains and distributes required monthly and annual reports; including financial/statistical performance indicators, productivity and statistical reports. Maintains reports, records and files for administrative and compliance purposes. Utilizes computer to enter and format data, generate statistics, computations, tables, or charts.Assists in the maintenance and update of the charge master. Conduct rate reviews including analysis of patient charges to maximize revenues.Conducts and assists in the preparation and presentation of financial data in the areas of analysis, cost accounting, financial planning and budget review.Performs external reporting and related analyses for the organization to applicable sources.Provides administrative support for special projects and studies; collects and compiles data, performs statistical analysis and follows-up as requested or needed.Answers inquiries and communicates effectively with hospital staff, external agencies, and auditors to coordinate activities, obtain information and financial reporting.Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Responds to problems/opportunities to improve work environment and participates in unit based performance improvement activities.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in finance, accounting or economics RequiredMinimum 2 years experience in a related area to include: computer/electronic worksheet skills, knowledge of financial forecasting and analyses techniques and modeling, financial documents including lease, loan, investment instruments and computer graphics Required
