A Brief OverviewThe Data Scientist functions as a member of various multi-disciplinary teams producing innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional databases. The incumbent uses a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data. Effectively communicates information in a way that is easy to understand for the intended audience, both technical and non-technical. Serves as lead on projects with little to no oversight.

What you will do

Drives the data science technical strategy and implementation for Regional One Health. Identifies complex data science opportunities that support business goals of the organization and provides data science consultation to departmental leaders. Performs ad hoc exploratory analysis as needed.Remains current with DOMO best practices and new innovations through learning opportunities; Use tools for design modifications.Provides technical support in ETL builds and dashboards designs.Collaborates with cross-functional teams of product and process experts, clinical and non-clinical leaders, and C-Suite leaders to develop data science solutions.Modifies solutions to address data concerns and includes data science and predictive modeling.Serves as a project owner/lead for data science projects. Collaborates with cross-functional teams of product and process experts, clinical and non-clinical leaders, and C-Suite leaders to develop data science solutions.Mentors interns and occasionally provides work directions to subordinates, students, and teammates.Translates objectives to data science problems.Identifies and executes opportunities to apply machine learning and modeling to improve user experience and decision support capabilities. Applies statistical inference to draw rigorous conclusions from data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience RequiredMaster's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field requiring strong data management and statistical analysis preferred.Minimum 3 years experience of related work experience required. Experience related to the integrating of data, preferably clinical in nature, from disparate sources; and managing databases; creating queries RequiredAdvanced analytical skills for design, data display, report preparation, problem resolution, machine learning, statistics, math, SQL, and R. Preferred
