We are looking for an experienced
MQ Senior Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IBM MQ infrastructure that supports critical messaging communication for business applications. You'll play a key role in optimizing performance and providing technical expertise to support mission-critical operations.
What You'll Do :
• Design, implement, and maintain
IBM MQ infrastructure , including queue managers, channels, queues, and other MQ objects.
• Configure and manage
MQ clustering
and high-availability solutions to ensure reliability and fault tolerance.
• Monitor MQ performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune configurations to optimize system efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to application developers, ensuring smooth integration with MQ messaging systems.
• Implement security measures for the MQ infrastructure, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the scalability of MQ systems.
• Stay current on IBM MQ updates and industry best practices, recommending upgrades and improvements as needed.
• Document technical setups, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Secret Clearance

• Bachelor's degree (equivalent experience may be considered).

12+ years of experience
in a relevant field, with a deep understanding of IBM MQ systems.
• Experience with MQ clustering, high-availability solutions, and performance tuning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, as well as independently to support geographically dispersed locations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to optimize messaging systems for performance and security.
Desired:
• Certification in
IBM System Admin for MQ .
Location:
• Must be based near
Annapolis Junction, MD , and available for on-site work as required.
