Responsibilities

Classification: Non-Exempt / Non-BargainingPosition may be located remote. #LI-RemotePerforms duties related to financial accounting, month end close process, account reconciliations primarily relating to general ledger and daily treasury cash transactions from various sources for Consolidated Communications and its subsidiaries/affiliates.Analyzes financial reports and records relative to the accounting for cash and related accounts.Performs account reconciliations.Exercises responsibility for all components of the daily cash reconciliation process to ensure that the process functions smoothly and accurately.Assists in the completion of accurate and timely month-end bank reconciliations of the bank account statements to the general ledger.Prepares month-end journal entries to ensure accurate and timely recording of general ledger transactions, including cash receipts activity, bank charges, and other adjustments.Interacts with other departments, the bank, and outside vendors to resolve questions arising from cash receipts and general ledger transactions. Applies current company policies and procedures to resolve technical problems concerning customer accounts, as well as other customer payment research.Performs miscellaneous data entry and administrative tasks such as creating reports, memos, correspondence and data extraction for special analysis, as well as, providing information related to banking activity.Participates during the development and testing of new systems or enhancements to the cash systems. May assist in ensuring software changes to the remittance processes are properly and accurately accounted for in the bank accounts and general ledger.Assists in the identification, analysis, and documentation of internal controls related to the cash or other Treasury processes. This includes identifying and documenting process improvements.Assists in other projects or tasks related to bank analysis, process analysis, cash flow projections, cash management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with 2 - 3 years of related professional experienceSolid knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles to general accounting functionsExperience with month-end close and working with general ledger and subledgersStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of managementExcellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent computer skills with working knowledge of Excel and WordKnowledge of financial ERP systems; PeopleSoft experience a plus

Salary

Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $41,998 - $63,660
