September 2018SUPERVISES:There are no direct reports associated with this position.Position Summary:Under general supervision. The Production Worker performs production work in a warehouse environment. Employees in this job class assemble, kits and co-packs product in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. Operates equipment such as, ink jet, pallet jack, conveyor belt, case sealer, etc. Performs physical tasks that are repetitive.Typical Duties:*Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy. Co-pack/assemble parts.*Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently.*Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.*Complete packaging tasks such as product, box assembly, packing, and taping.*Operate equipment correctly and maintain it with care.*Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.*Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.*Follow all written and verbal instructions.*Attend all safety and production trainings.Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.* Denotes Essential Job FunctionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Prior production/packing related work experience preferred.Basic mathematical abilityAble to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and request.Human relations skills to build effective working relationships;Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common-sense skill.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for an extended periods of time with or without assistance.Maneuvering in and around equipmentBending and stoopingPushing carts up to 50 pounds with or without assistanceUsing a pallet jackLifting boxes or equipment up to 40 poundsWORK ENVIORMENT:Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with forklifts and production equipment.
