Vista Del Mar provides a trauma-responsive continuum of services to empower children, youth, and families in Southern California to lead fulfilling lives.

Role Overview:

Under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist, the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will provide language and speech services to all children in Vista School who qualify through their school district's IEP for language and speech services.

Qualifications:Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program.Experience with children and adolescents with emotionally disturbances, learning disabilities and autism children.Knowledge of school-based language and speech services.Familiarity with Elligent and SEIS databases.Essential Job Duties:

Work one to one and in small groups with students as mandated by their IEP goals.Complete daily charting on services delivered.Meet with school personnel and clinical staff to discuss students' language, speech and communication needs.Update student progress reports quarterly.Attend parent/staff conferences as requested.Provide education and information to other Vista Personnel (informally and formally)What You Bring to VDM:
