About the Role

LendingClub Bank is looking for a Payment Services Analyst to join our Bank Operations team. The department is critical to handling the flow of funds for LendingClub's members and supports cash management - the heart and lifeblood of a financial services business. In this role, you will provide daily operational support of funds flow and assist in developing and streamlining the daily operations to enhance controls and mitigate risk. In addition, you will play a key role in modernizing and automating the operations as we build out our new products and services in our new bank infrastructure. This position will be required to interact with other teams internally to Bank Operations and across the company to execute procedure and process to appropriately apply payments to borrower loan accounts and disbursement to company investors. This role will provide support to a variety of external LendingClub teams such as Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Payment Solutions, Member Support, Fraud and other Operations teams.

What You'll Do

Be part of the primary team managing all borrower payments, transactions, and investor disbursements within LendingClub's core lending applications. You will handle cash movements between borrowers and investors via ACH, wires, and checksProcessing, oversight and management of several operations support tasks including, but not limited to check processing, payment refunds, payment return application to core system, loan cancellation, electronic payment processing, and service ticket research and resolutionSupporting Treasury-related tasks such as Failed Loan Issuance, Balance Transfer Loan Failures, Reissuance of funds, Loan Cancellations, ACH transaction review and other tasks related to movement and management of fundsProcessing and reconciliation of check payments; reviewing exceptions and unidentified payments; manual deposits and fee reconciliationIdentify areas of opportunity to improve transaction processing controls within the core applicationYou will have a hands-on role with exposure to various client cash management functionsPerform daily reconciliations between system and cash transactions and for data validationAssist in streamlining treasury processes and standard operating procedures and identify and document treasury-related controls and implement these changesYou will participate in execution and completion of ad hoc Treasury projectsAnd you will identify, review and resolve operational issues and exceptions as they ariseIdentify areas of opportunity to improve transaction processing controls within the core applicationAbout You

2+ years of experience in the financial industry, working in a procedural driven environment doing personal lending other types of financial and transactional processingBachelor's degree or higher in a related field; or equivalent work experienceStrong system skills, collections, processing and analytical skillsEffective oral and written communication skills; timely and accurate follow throughAbility to prioritize tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate quantitative problem-solving and analytical skillsPossess good business judgement with a strong focus on customer serviceStrong team player with a high level of professionalism and initiativeIntellectual curiosity to become a subject matter expert in the current process and assist in process improvementProficient in Microsoft Suite preferred (Word and Excel required)CRM experience preferred
