Our Support Centers play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring we can continue delivering the highest quality of service. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Senior Living Support Center in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing insights to support our organizational goals. Your expertise will help us maintain financial integrity and enhance the quality of care we provide to our residents.

Essential Functions:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory standards.General Ledger Oversight:

Manage the maintenance of the general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, tracking actual performance against projections and identifying variances.Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoice processing and effective collections.Bank Reconciliation:

Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.Audit Support:

Coordinate and support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial activities.Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.Team Leadership:

Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support to foster professional development.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and general ledger management.Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.What We Offer:
