Description

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Management of Post Closing team and processes to expedite loan purchase and maintain healthy warehouse funding lines in accordance with Company, Industry and Investor policies, guidelines and best practices.

Primary objectives

Manage, enhance and guide the Post Closing team and functions to ensure timely and accurate purchase of loans off the warehouse lines, ensuring financial protection of the Company and the DAS ESOP.

R esponsibilities

Manage departmental staff in post-closing activities, process improvement, performance, timekeeping and PTO management.Collaborate with senior management and staff to ensure post close loan documents are accurate and complete, in compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines, and delivered for final approval and purchase within established timelines.Monitor warehouse line balances. Identify and assign and/or work the loans that can be quickly expedited to purchase, while identifying training opportunities associated with any discrepancies that slowed the purchase of loans currently on the warehouse lines. Discrepancies as a result of poor performance should be shared with management for future performance discussions.Keep abreast of latest updates in company, regulatory and investor guidelines.Provide best in class customer service to both internal and external senior leadership, outside partners, including investors and warehouse lines, and customers as a representative of DAS.

Job Requirements

Broad Knowledge & Experience

Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans, and familiarity with mortgage loan products. Clear understanding of the current RESPA laws and guidelines.

Detailed knowledge of post-closing best practices and procedures.

Above Average Skills

Excellent verbal and written skills. High degree of functional knowledge in subject matter and ability to communicate that expertise to all organizational levels within internal and external clients.

Demonstrated Ability

Ability to interpret rules, regulations and guidelines and apply that interpretation to business processes; manage multiple competing projects; work under pressure and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment. Ability to recognize and act on both departmental and company priorities.

Education & Experience

Degree or Equivalent

BA from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Years' Experience

3 Years management experience and 5+ years mortgage experience with an emphasis in Processing, Underwriting or Auditing being preferred. Working knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA guidelines.

Specialized Training

Working knowledge of Encompass, basic Underwriting, Processing and Closing Procedures and Investor guidelines.

Work Environment

Physical Demands & Work Conditions Extremely fast paced office environment; daily computer usage requires close vision. Regular on-site attendance is required.

Temperament

High level of emotional intelligence within a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

Salary Description

$75,000-90,000/year based on experience
