About the Role:

The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic and experience in a high volume of invoicing and collections with complex billing schedules, accounts payable, and knowledge of debits and credits.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

Effectively manage customer relationships by executing research related to pricing and PO reconciliation.Prepare and analyze AR aging reports including the status of overdue customer accounts to the team at bi-weekly meetings.Manage and improve KPIs such as the percent of invoices past due and the days sales outstanding.Work closely with sales team to ensure billing schedules are accurate and reconcile discrepancies.Manage our Dunning Tool and engage with customers to follow up on past due accounts.Perform daily cash management duties including recording bank deposits and applying customer payments to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.Accounts Payable

Vendor management including timely and accurate processing and payment of bills.Collaborate and assist the team with projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.Manage company information in supplier portals.Prepare monthly sales tax filings.Input AP bills, schedule cash disbursements, and apply payments to open AP bills.Other Duties

Prepare daily cash reporting to CFO and CEO.Manage AR/AP inboxes including correspondence with customers and vendors.Perform month-end close process related to AR/AP duties.Prepare and work with the Senior Manager, Accounting on the weekly cashflow forecast.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Have 2+ years of relevant work experienceStrong analytical skillsTime management and orientation to details.Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment.Previous experience in accounts receivable is required.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Experience with NetSuite is a plus.Salesforce experience is a plusExperience with government clients is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tablesPay Range : $60,000 - $75,000

Pay is commensurate on a variety of factors, including experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
