Staff Accountant - Immediate Fulltime Role in Irving!!

The Hire Solution has partnered with a national food service client for the position of Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is a key growth position within the accounting team, reporting directly the Assistant Controller. In this role, the ideal candidate can expect to:

Perform month end close functions including booking accruals, doing account reconciliations, creating adjusting journal entries, analysis and reporting Ensure general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Complete balance sheet reconciliations Evaluate trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances Assist field personnel with account analysis and research Complete necessary external audit requests Help cover all areas of the accounting department including revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, accounts receivable, fixed assets, tax returns and audit support as needed Understanding and ability to apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization Exceptional analytical, problem identification and problem-solving skills Organized and extremely detail-oriented Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required 3+ years of accounting experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality highly desired Proficient using ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Dynamics or similar, with strong knowledge of Excel Multi-location, multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred Collaborative and a team player Focused on supporting field operations with an internal customer service mindset
