Staff Accountant - Immediate Fulltime Role in Irving!!

The Hire Solution has partnered with a national food service client for the position of Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is a key growth position within the accounting team, reporting directly the Assistant Controller. In this role, the ideal candidate can expect to:

Perform month end close functions including booking accruals, doing account reconciliations, creating adjusting journal entries, analysis and reportingEnsure general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Complete balance sheet reconciliationsEvaluate trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variancesAssist field personnel with account analysis and researchComplete necessary external audit requestsHelp cover all areas of the accounting department including revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, accounts receivable, fixed assets, tax returns and audit support as neededUnderstanding and ability to apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organizationExceptional analytical, problem identification and problem-solving skillsOrganized and extremely detail-orientedAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessRequirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required3+ years of accounting experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality highly desiredProficient using ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Dynamics or similar, with strong knowledge of ExcelMulti-location, multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferredCollaborative and a team playerFocused on supporting field operations with an internal customer service mindset
