The Hire Solution has partnered with a prominent Irving based business to hire for the role of Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is a full time role with a diverse set of duties that will challenge and motivate anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, multifaceted position. The Senior Accountant also offers high amounts of visibility across the company, reporting on key performance metrics for all of the businesses operating locations. Key responsibilities include:
This position is responsible for performing various accounting activities including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, inter-company billing, tax processing, fixed assets, and cash management for the Management Company and Real Estate Company as follows: • Prepare monthly A/R billings and cash collection to field offices from various departments within all company divisions • Prepare monthly recurring and non-recurring entries including office billings, expense reports, cash journal entries, payroll journal entries, and depreciation entries • Verify depreciation schedules agree to the general ledger and Fixed Asset disposals are properly categorized and presented • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including preparing monthly and annual balance sheet general ledger account reconciliations • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses • Provide support to the filed offices during their month-end close process working under the direction of the Director of Strategic and Operation Reporting including preparing brand-specific reporting • Interact with regional Controllers and Management Company personnel to address questions related to various items such as billings, cash balances, and expenses • PCard and Expense reporting using Concur Expense Report systems • Serve as a back-up to the Real Estate Senior Accountant, who is responsible for managing and maintaining the General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and sales and property taxes using the Thomson Reuters Fixed Asset and Visual Lease systems. • Support the external audit by maintaining/providing proper accounting-related processes and documentation • Provide additional Treasury and Tax support as needed • Help maintain and enhance best practice accounting control procedures • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or responsibilities dictate
Requirements
Education: • Bachelor's degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) or equivalent experience
Experience: • Minimum 7 years of Accounting experience • Experience with ERP accounting system such as Sage 100, Sage 300, Oracle or NetSuite ERP highly desired • Experience working in a multi-location operating environment, with multiple legal entities preferred • Prior experience in a Shared Services environment working with Inter-Company billing • Experience with Concur or Kronos desired • Hyperion reporting and intermediate level MS Excel strongly preferred
