Accountant - Houston, TX 77253
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly accounting close and reporting requirements in compliance with GAAP, including reporting results and analyzing variances to budget.Support IT in implementing Microsoft Navision for the Bay Towing Division to include set up and testing.Work with Bay Towing Management Team in providing any other reports/analysis as needed.Complete account reconciliationsComplete the cash application for Bay Towing divisionAssist in the AP Payment processAssist in audit requests as required.Assist with budget preparation.Provide recommendations for and assist in implementation of process improvement(s).Assist with special projects.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting3-5 years experience.General Ledger accounting, fixed assets, and accruals experience.Excellent computer skills and moderate to advanced MS Excel skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred.Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
