Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate coating machines for production schedules and job specifications.Load and unload materials, ensuring proper feeding and alignment through the machine.Monitor machine operation, adjusting settings for factors like speed, temperature, and coating thickness as needed.Perform changeovers, including cleaning, roll changes, and material transfers.Prepare cylinders and carts for upcoming production changeovers.Conduct quality control checks on coated materials, adhering to established standards and procedures.Maintain communication with other departments.Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks on coating equipment.Maintain inventory stock movement transactions for coating materials and supplies.Maintain accurate production parameters and complete necessary paperwork.Conduct high-degree on-line inspections for optical defects.Handle hazardous waste appropriately.Other duties as required.Skills and Abilities

Effective communication:

Collaborate clearly with operators, helpers, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.Math skills:

Utilize basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specifications.Quality control:

Possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to distinguish colors precisely to conduct thorough quality inspections.Safety compliance:

Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to respirator requirements as per OSHA standards.Physical abilities:

Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs.Mobility:

Climb steps frequently and maintain sustained focus for an extended period.Technical skills:

Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.Continuous improvement:

Maintain a process optimization mindset.Experience and Education

High School Diploma or GED.Basic and intermediate math skills.Mixing Manufacturing experience preferred.Familiarity with SAP/Microsoft Office.
