Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: ICU Resource Team Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with day/night rotations (8, 12-hour shifts, and occasional 4-hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a large hospital (over 200 beds), level 1 trauma center License: ND or compact state RN License Certifications: - BLS (must be AHA)- ACLS (must be AHA)- NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience titrating vasopressor drips - EPIC EMR experience Job Description: - Manage 1-3 critically ill patients independently in various ICU settings- Handle a wide range of patient populations including neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical cases- Administer and manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropes, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips- Assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests- Utilize equipment such as EPIC EMR, automated dispensing cabinets, IV pumps, feeding pumps, and patient monitoring systems- Float between all critical care departments with nurse-to-patient ratios up to 4:1 in Intermediate ICU and up to 3:1 in specific ICU environments- May occasionally float to med-surg units to task or take patient assignments of up to 3- Call in each day before shifts to determine assigned work location- Work every other weekend and holiday, with no on-call requirement- Attend a structured orientation program totaling 32 hours across various ICU departmentsPlease note the uniform requirement is navy scrubs. A comprehensive orientation program over the first week will ensure familiarity with the hospital environment and specific ICU units.
