Location: Community Hospital, Canyon View Surgery Center4-10 hours shifts, M-FResponsibilities:The Registered Nurse will provide patient care.Explaining procedures/treatment to patient and family members to alley apprehension and to verify understanding of procedure.Assuring needed supplies and equipment are available as needed per surgical procedure; marks charges appropriately and rectifies charges where needed by Buyer.Administering prescribed medications in accordance with approved nursing techniquesContinuously maintaining focus on surgical procedure in assigned roomAssisting with room turn-over, including clean-up of supplies, instruments and equipment returnsDemonstrating clinical expertise and contributes to the advancement of professional perioperative nursing practices by communicating current research and trends related to a specialtyRequirements:Requires current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado;Bachelor s Degree in nursing (or its equivalent) from accredited Registered Nurse ProgramAt least ten (10) years of experience and trainingBLS required upon hireACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
