Senior AccountantJob Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their small advisory firm in Davidson, NC. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in providing financial guidance and support to the company's $5-50M clients. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities using QuickBooks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to clients.

Work Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours a week), standard office hours with occasional flexibility required to accommodate client needs.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all accounting functions in QuickBooks for small company clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for financial matters.Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.Review and analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.Provide strategic financial guidance to clients, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.Assist clients with tax planning and compliance, working closely with external tax advisors as needed.Assist part-time bookkeeper with AP, AR, and payroll as needed.Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and recommending process improvements as needed.Collaborate with other members of the advisory team to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field requiredMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance rolesStrong technical accounting skills, with a deep understanding of GAAP principles and accounting standards.Experience working with clients in a professional services environment, preferably within an advisory or consulting firm.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and effectively convey complex financial concepts.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel; QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
