Join our world-class team today!Position Specific DescriptionNextEra Energy Marketing, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Forecasting Analyst to join our Development group on the Origination team. Our ideal candidate will provide support for our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) business and will be integral to the financial forecasting efforts essential to our RNG operations. We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated expertise in Excel and possesses a strong background in financial forecasting, particularly within the renewable energy sector. Your ability to support a diverse portfolio of RNG projects while conducting detailed forecasting and variance analysis will be crucial to your success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesForecast Variance Analysis Preparation: Conduct detailed analysis of forecast variances to provide insights and recommendations.Provide comprehensive support for our RNG financial portfolio, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.Project Support: Assist in the active development and operation of over 30 RNG projects currently in progress.Monthly Reforecasting: Lead the monthly reforecasting effort for the portfolio by interacting with PAR and other SME groups (PGD, E&C, FP&A, etc.) to align our forecast across the appropriate teams and ensure its accuracy and completeness.Financial Approval and Management Updates: Support the preparation of financial output for project approvals and management update slide decks.Project Valuation: Support project valuation on selected projects, working with development teams to model RNG conversion economics.Ad Hoc Analysis and Reporting: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.Financial Management for Projects: Handle financials for both existing projects and support the redevelopment of existing projects.Budgeting and Forecasting: Complete budgets, monthly forecasts, financial analysis, ad hoc reports, and modeling.Operational Analysis and Improvement: Conduct analysis on issues impacting operations and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.Preferred QualificationsProven experience in financial analysis, particularly in variance reporting, financial forecasting, and understanding best business practices.Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.Job OverviewEmployees in this position support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets or upstream/midstream assets that have achieved commercial operation. This role supports strategic decision-making with respect to such assets, including hedging, operations and maintenance. This role identifies opportunities and analyzes the impact on company financials to maximize P and L profitability.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists in managing and improving the generating asset or upstream/midstream assets P and L including optimization of asset interaction with energy markets.Completes budgets and monthly forecasts, financial analyses, ad hoc reports, and modeling.Ensures compliance with power purchase agreements, land leases, financings and regulatory requirements.Generates invoices for land owner payments.Analyzes P and L variances.Monitors project operations.Conducts analysis on issues impacting operations and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.Participates in value-added projects such as supporting regional leadership in the development of strategic plans, mergers and acquisitions, project development, asset optimization, restructurings and building relationships with off-takers, landowners, and state and local regulators.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 2+ yearsPreferred QualificationsNoneNextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
