The successful candidate must be capable of communicating effectively and frequently with all levels of suppliers and plant management in performance of their responsibilities. Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate is a critical success factor. In addition, organizational and time management skills are essential. The incumbent must be a self-starter and capable of making decisions.ResponsibilitiesEffectively negotiate the purchase of scrap aluminum within a defined territoryDevelop and maintain cost analysis for purchased inputsMaintain existing list of accounts while actively developing new business relationshipsAttend industry events and proactively communicate with suppliers to stay informed on industry trends and marketsEnsure trades are entered accurately and material is received as expectedSupport Novelis Sustainability initiativesAdopt and promote the Novelis cultural beliefs of Be Open, Build Trust, Say Anything, and Be AuthenticMinimum Qualifications10-15 years of Aluminum Trading experience with knowledge of ReMA Aluminum specsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, or related fieldExcellent negotiation skills with experience building a book of businessHighly organized with strong quantitative and analytical skillsMust be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment, with ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workTravel up to 50%Ability to establish objectives for reducing costStrong Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel)Self-starter with a consistent track record in problem solving/resolutionExperience in SAPWhat We Offer:Novelis' benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
