NYM Group is seeking an experienced and qualified Project Manager with experience managing multi-tenant centers and large box retail construction.

The Project Manager will perform a key role in delivering projects to customers on-time and within defined scope and budget. This position will focus on project organization, budgeting, scheduling, and installation coordination. Leads cross-functional teams to define scope, manage expectations, and coordinate and manage deliverables throughout the project life cycle.

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop, track, and update multiple project schedules to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope and budget.

Interact in a professional manner with all vendors, engineers, personnel, contractors, or customers involved with the same or related projects in a cross-functional team environment.

Coordinate with the internal project team for the planning and execution of the projects.

Coordinate with the client’s team (project manager, architects, consultants) to ascertain contract schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.

Coordinate submittals of documents including drawing coordination, product sample submittal, and others as required.

Site readiness coordination with contractor and other trades.

Project billings and costing analysis.

Developing, tracking, updating, and reporting on the contract schedule of values.

Travel required.

Use of ProCore as our Construction Operating System without exception.

Plans, develops project schedules, controls project activities, and executes according to plan for assigned projects.

Oversees project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes, and construction techniques.

Reviews and interprets contract Terms and Conditions. Escalates issues and concerns to Operations Director.

Engaging with the Estimators on proposals, pre-award site walks, communication support with the clients, estimating hand-offs, post mortem feedback, and lessons learned.

Project start-up.

Project cost control (labor, equipment, and material).

Change order management.

Client management.

Project close-out.

The Project Manager reports directly to, and is fully accountable to the Vice President of Operations.

The Project Manager receives authority from the VP of Operations necessary to make decisions and take appropriate actions to satisfy the responsibilities of this position.

Authority to create project budgets, issue Purchase Orders, Work Orders, approve invoices, and make project financial decisions.

Authority to negotiate and execute change orders up to a limit pre-established by the VP of Operations.
