As the

Category Strategy Manager , you'll play a key role within the Merchandise function. You’ll lead the category insights team to leverage industry-leading data tools to uncover valuable insights that shine a light on customer preferences and behaviours.You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies that not only meet but exceed changing customer expectations.Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:Lead the Category Insights team (3 direct reports) at Endeavour, driving strategic planning and improvement initiatives.Collaborate with senior leaders in merchandise and marketing to address customer challenges and stay ahead in the evolving Liquor retail landscape.Provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders on optimising customer experience and driving innovation within the Liquor category across range, experience, innovation and other category-based initiatives.Mentor and coordinate the team to deliver impactful analysis that supports industry sustainability and growth.Cultivate relationships beyond traditional stakeholder groups to facilitate broader sharing of insights across the business.Utilise supplier engagement resources to clearly communicate our Category growth strategies to our supplier network to inform and foster joint planning efforts.Provide regular customer insights reporting to add context to the commercial performance of the business and leverage existing senior forums to ensure we are influencing senior management.Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:Strong analytical and numerical skills gained through a minimum of 7 years experience in previous analytical roles.Proven experience leading category planning processes in FMCG organisations.People leadership experience.Demonstrated expertise in developing category growth drivers.Exposure to research projects such as U&A and Path to Purchase studies.Previous retail and/or supplier experience in FMCG.Degree qualified in business or related discipline.Extensive experience using sales and customer data sets - e.g. Checkout, Nielsen, Aztec or other customer driven data sources.Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.Exceptional communicator (verbal and written).Understanding of category management and buying principles - e.g. shelf management, merchandising, ranging, promotional and pricing strategies.Strong organisational and planning skills.Previous Drinks Industry experience, desirable.Project management skills, desirable.Experience managing data and research agency relationships, desirable.Experience in sales and marketing roles outside of analytical roles, desirable.The benefits are good too!We offer flexible working in every sense.An exclusive discount card for BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Woolworths, BIG W and other Endeavour Group brands, including our ALH pubs.Monthly meeting-free days.Your health and wellbeing is your most important asset, and as one of our valued team members, it’s our first priority.
