What You Will Do:
As the Senior Manager of Global Retail Design, you support the design direction and implementation of Kiehl's Global retail design, striving to express the brand's DNA and non-negotiables through the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
DESIGN DIRECTION
Achieve a balance of aesthetics following DMI global directives
Monitor local market priorities for each new door/renovation
Further conceptualization and development of evolving Kiehl's retail and wholesale environments in alignment with the Brand's strategic goals
Includes store elements as well as specialized temporary environments
CROSS-COLLABORATION WITH DMI TEAMS
Report to the SVP of Global Creative and VP of Global Retail Design.
Heavily collaborate with Visual Merchandising team to make sure that concepts align across the board
Work well with Marketing and IBD to stay up to date on global consumer experience strategy.
NEW RETAIL CONCEPT PILOT DESIGN + ROLLOUT
Assume design responsibility of evolving the 2022 Kiehl's 'Store of Tomorrow' concept across multiple Zone pilot locations
Provide benchmark sustainably designed materials palette for Zone implementation
Create all retail format design guidelines/standards for 2023 Zone/Local market release
FREELANCE/CONSULTANT MANAGEMENT
Manage freelancers to develop their skillsets/understanding of store planning and design.
CORE KPIs ARE:
Retail guidelines adoption rate by countries and new concepts tested in zones/drive countries
Retail innovation plan exists within profitability constraints
Innovative and relevant new retail developments
Strong O+O integrated customer journey
Brand architecture consistency worldwide
Respect of delivery timing
Organization Structure and Key Working Relationships
Ensure strong team engagement and motivation
Upskill the team with trends & benchmarks

What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
7-10 years of experience
Retail and Graphic Design & Merchandising expertise
Customer path within all distribution channels + zone strategies
CAD and 3D/Sketchup/VRAY software
Agile team and project management methodologies
Innovative retail experience integrating digital and sensorial CX

Salary Range: $119,900 - 170,200
