Responsibilities

Design and prepare plans, specifications, and quantities under the supervision of the Project Manager.

Lead a team of engineers and drafters.

Develop horizontal and vertical geometry.

Create roadway corridor models.

Prepare project reports.

Interact and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other agencies.

Assist with the preparation of proposals and contracts.

Participate in quality control/quality assurance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

PE license required (or able to obtain within 12 months of hire).

5-10 years of progressive experience in transportation design.

Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) or Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) design engineering practices, standards, and documentation.

Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Ability to collaborate with the design team, project manager, clients, and agencies.

Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills.
