Position:

Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience in nursing management preferred.

About the Role:

As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at The Springs of Brinkley, you will support the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing the Nursing Department's operations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring high-quality care for our residents, complying with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. You will assist in creating a supportive and efficient environment that promotes exceptional resident care and staff development.

Administrative Functions:

Assist the DON in developing and managing nursing programs and services.

Help implement and enforce nursing policies and procedures.

Support in providing reports and recommendations to the Administrator on nursing operations.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive care plans for each resident.

Monitor compliance of nursing staff with their roles and responsibilities.

Participate in quality assurance programs and facility surveys by regulatory agencies.

Assist in patient discharge planning and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

Facilitate meetings with nursing and support staff to discuss and strategize services and programs.

Communicate department policies to staff, patients, families, and regulatory bodies.

Assist in managing patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Nursing Care Functions:

Conduct nursing assessments and assist the DON in determining the department's capacity to meet patient needs.

Make regular rounds to monitor patient care and address any concerns.

Ensure physician orders, progress notes, and other documentation are completed timely and accurately.

Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.

Review nursing notes for completeness and accuracy, ensuring they reflect the care provided.

Provide direct nursing care when necessary.

Assist in overseeing the use of restraints according to physician orders and facility policies.

Ensure regular monitoring and care of patients who are unable to call for assistance.

Engage with patients and families to discuss care plans and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).

Experience in nursing management or as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is preferred.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
