Job Description

Job Summary :

Eurofins' corporate development team leads the execution of the company's strategic business and financial goals through merger and acquisition activity across all business lines. Our inorganic growth is a key component of Eurofins' overall strategy. The Associate will manage a complete pipeline of M&A targets in the United States that generates $10MM to $50MM new revenues annually with an appropriate return in line with Eurofins' financial objectives. This is a highly visible role in the organization with direct exposure to, and interaction with, business and corporate leadership.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Strategy:Market analysis and identification of potential acquisition targetsSelect targets together with business leaders based on strategic relevance and likelihood of successCoordinate information flow between the targets, Business Unit, and EurofinsApproach potential targets and sell them the Eurofins conceptM&A Execution:Negotiate confidentiality agreements and gather and analyze preliminary dataEvaluate targets in conjunction with Business Unit leader and recommend deal structureAdvise on the transaction process and assist business leaders in preparing negotiation documentsCoordinate the due diligence and activities of other external advisorsAssist negotiations and related strategy, attend meetings and give comments on documentationValidate the acquisition contractsCreate and manage attachments and exhibits for contractsPrepare recommendations to the investment committeeCoordinate the closing of the dealIntegration of the acquired companies:Assist in setting up reporting and quality of communicationSupport a potential legal reorganization of some companiesFollow-up any post-closing obligations resulting from the acquisitionAssist internal counsel with preparation of shareholder resolutions

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance

MBA or CPA is preferredScience background or interest preferred

Outstanding technical understanding of finance & valuationsMinimum 4-6 years of M&A experience in Audit, Consulting, Investment Banking or Private EquityPrevious exposure and solid understanding of the M&A processFluency in English; Fluency in Spanish is a plusExcellent knowledge of MS Office toolsOTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:Strong analytical and conceptual skillsHigh energy level, drive, and a passion to succeedStrong interpersonal skills, including listening and communication skillsSelf-starter, ownership, and natural leadershipAbility to work with people from different cultural backgroundsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyDomestic travel is required - 15%-20%
