Senior Manager of Supply Chain

Position Overview:

The senior manager of the Supply Chain will be responsible for a broad portfolio of products in terms of building end-to-end supply demand and supply plans, working in close partnership with Procurement, Sourcing, Suppliers, Transportation, Distribution Centers, Sales, and most importantly Customers. The building process, communication, and leveraging data will be critical throughout to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers to maximize on-time full-fill rates to customers while reducing stockouts at large distribution hubs at the optimum level of inventory across the network.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:

Lead the development and implementation of accurate demand forecasting processes to optimize inventory levels and meet customer requirements.

Supply Planning:

Oversee supply planning activities, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and supplier production capabilities ensuring strong alignment between supply and demand.

Data Analysis:

Dive deep into data analytics to identify trends, forecast future needs, and make informed decisions and recommendations that drive supply chain efficiency.

Collaboration:

Foster a servant leadership approach to collaboration, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance supply chain performance.

Best Practices:

Implement end-to-end supply chain best practices, focusing on continuous improvement in demand forecasting and supply planning processes for both Domestic and International sourced products.

Communication:

Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively convey supply chain strategies and updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in supply chain management, specifically in demand forecasting and supply planning, within mid to large-sized companies.

Deep knowledge of the supply chain best practices, particularly with a background in the Distribution, Lumber, and/or Plastics industries.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies while consistently exceeding expectations.

Excellent people skills with a focus on collaboration and team leadership.

Ability to respond quickly to changing demands and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with supply chain software (SAP) and tools that enhance forecasting and planning capabilities.

Exceptional and proven experience in building and delivering complex data analysis.

Familiarity with industry trends and challenges in the Distribution and Lumber sectors.

Experience:

At least 10-15 years of experience in supply chain function in sizable companies.

Proficiency with Tier-1 ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), ERP planning systems (SAP-APO, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP-IBP, other), and Microsoft Office suite.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, MBA, Management, Business/Administration, Finance, Education, Manufacturing, or Science.

Certifications such as APICS, CPIM, CSCP, APIC, CIRM, CPSM, IBF, MBA, or CSCMP.

Up to $185,000.00 per year
