This Supply Chain Management position will sit on a new team within Supply Chain at this client. This team is being stood up to address the huge amount of inventory this company acquired during COVID when supply chain patterns were less predictable. This material is now often in the wrong location, is the wrong type of material, etc. but could be used for other projects. This Supply Chain Management Analyst will be responsible for the corporate demand planning process. This person will essentially create the demand plan, the buy plan and understanding what healthy inventory levels and trends look like. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication as he/she will be expected to communicate both within and outside the team. The team has created big changes within the entire organization through implementing new approval processes with goals of cost reduction.
