We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Director of Planning and Purchasing to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our purchasing efforts and ensure the efficient purchasing and supply of goods to enhance our inventory performance across the organization. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration.

Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with our organizational goals and objectives.

Lead the implementation of inventory and demand planning software “Netstock”.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at refining purchasing and inventory processes and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bolster inventory accuracy, turnover, and availability within the Supply Chain.

Actively engage in daily management tasks, including overseeing reporting and presenting performance metrics to the business leadership team.

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate stockouts and other inventory-related challenges.

Analyze and report on purchasing and inventory metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and present insights to senior management.

Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to establish favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks.

Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures that adhere to best practices and compliance standards.

Oversee the supplier evaluation process, including performance reviews and vendor audits.

Work with all entities in the Supply Chain to set inventory performance based on corporate inventory and warehouse requirements.

Track shipments and coordinate deliveries across each of our warehouses.

Work with all parties to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.

Identify, create, and implement SOPs, as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Proven track record in purchasing and inventory management, with 5 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.

Proficiency in purchasing and inventory management software and systems (NetSuite ERP and/or NetStock demand planning) is strongly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive informed decisions.

Must possess the ability to present metric-driven analysis solutions to the executive leadership team.

Advanced skills in MS Office, primarily Excel.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively interact with internal teams and external suppliers.

Demonstrated leadership skills and the capability to guide teams to success.

Exceptional problem-solving acumen, coupled with a proactive approach to challenges.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Self-motivated individual able to multitask effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.

Professional certifications in purchasing (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch & Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch.

Pay dates are bi-weekly.
