$85,793 – $120,110. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.Job Summary:
The
Senior Project Manager
will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse range of construction and planning projects that contribute to the university’s growth and sustainability. Reporting directly to the Director of Construction and Planning, this position will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with university policies and goals.Responsibilities include:Project Management:
Lead and manage both major and minor capital projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and completion.Team Leadership:
Provide daily direction to staff, conduct personnel evaluations, and foster a collaborative work environment.Coordination:
Work closely with university-hired Architectural and Engineering Consultants as well as contractors under public works contracts, ensuring seamless communication and project alignment.Facility Maintenance:
Oversee facility maintenance operations, including a 24/7 emergency on-call service, to ensure a safe and functional campus.Budget Oversight:
Plan, develop, and manage budgets for maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to university policies and financial guidelines.Continuous Improvement:
Implement creative and effective solutions for day-to-day planning and construction activities.At Eastern Washington University, we are committed to a campus climate that welcomes and respects diversity.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field. Applicable experience can substitute for education requirements.3-5 years’ experience in Project Management, including budget experience.Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with architectural and engineering consultants and agreements related to those consulting functions.Experience coordinating and implementing small construction projects.Must be able to work independently and communicate detailed information verbally and in writing to support department operations and goodwill.Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.Conditions of Employment:This position will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check
prior
to beginning employment.All new employees will comply with
EWU Immunization Policy 602-02
and provide proof of immunity or vaccination to MMR before beginning work at EWU.All new faculty and staff are required to complete DEI /Title IX/Hazing Training after their hire date.Work Schedule:
