ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are recruiting for an Accountant II to join our team. As a key member of our growing accounting and finance team, you will be responsible for general accounting and reporting functions including performing moderately complex account reconciliations, maintaining fixed assets, and various quarterly and ad-hoc projects.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLEResponsible for several month-end reconciliations and related journal entries, including but not limited to (subject to change): bank, investments fixed assets, sales tax, accrued rebates, accrued warranty, debt, leases. Completing certain reconciliations will require working with the AR or AP team and others within the organizationResponsible for maintaining the fixed asset and depreciation schedulesHold quarterly meetings with relevant project managers to understand the status of CIP projects and record the transfer to fixed assets as applicable, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesPlay an important role in maintaining strong internal controls in accordance with audit standards and Sarbanes Oxley 404, which includes among other things, preparation and upkeep of strong procedural documentation, performing SOC 1 reviews, addressing audit requestsResponsible for updating financial reporting templates using Jet Reports (an Excel Add-in) for changes in account or company structureAssist with changes within the ERP systemAct as backup and support to the processing of sales invoices and for various accounting functions as neededAssist with various IT and other projects as they arisePrepare ad-hoc journal entries as necessaryAssist in addressing financial reporting needs as they ariseWHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline2+ years of general accounting experience including account reconciliations, month-end close processing, and preparing journal entriesDemonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsMust be able to thrive in a fast-pace setting and prioritize multiple responsibilitiesStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsPreferred:

Medical device experienceExperience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP systemPrevious experience with a global organization
