DHI Communities is currently looking for a

Staff Accountant-PM . The right candidate will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Assist operations team members with preparing leasing and asset management reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Review operating financials for budget variances, cost code errors, and other posting errors on invoices, etc.Prepare monthly journal entries to record operating activity for assigned propertiesPrepare account reconciliations and adjust when necessaryReview costs to determine expense vs. capital classificationTrack capital expenditures & start-up costsPrepare monthly balance sheet and reconciliationsConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAnalyze and review accounting and financial resources for property acquisitions and dispositionsConduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are metTrack and record corporate intercompany costsAssist with property management team members as neededConsolidate monthly financial activity to corporate system of recordOther ad hoc analyses, reports, and projects as needed by division managementAbility to work overtimeQualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or universityZero to three years of related experience and/or trainingAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailPreferred Qualifications
