CURRENT HOLLAND HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES- Please apply through Find Jobs from your Workday employee account.This unit is a 16 bed unit that provides acute care to post-operative and medical interdisciplinary care for adults and general pediatric patients. Conditions and diagnoses most frequently cared for but not limited to include: Women with reproductive system conditions and surgeries, breast surgeries, miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy, and hyperemesis. Patients with: pneumonia, cellulitis, gall bladder conditions and/or surgery: Cholecystectomy, ear/nose/throat, appendectomy, bariatric surgeries. Infants and children with: asthma exacerbation, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, hyperbilirubinemia, dehydration, and post-operative care.The RN is responsible for the provision and coordination of patient centered care. The RN coordinates care to achievedesired outcomes, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by delegating and workingcooperatively and collaboratively with ancillary nursing and other members of the healthcare team in maintainingstandards for professional nursing practice and professional nursing performance in the clinical setting. The RN is alsoaccountable to practice in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978, Article 15 (HealthOccupations), Part 172 (Nursing). The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide careand service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.Pay Range: $28.71 - $48.77/hour Employment Type: Full Time Nights, 72 hours every 2 weeksSchedule: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am, includes every 3rd weekendRequirements: Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program required, Current Michigan RN License (or completed by end of orientation) required, Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire) requiredSTANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE:Promotes patient safety by maintaining the policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing department, including maintaining the Patient's Bill of Rights. Demonstrates ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze assessment data to determine the pertinent diagnosis or issues. Responds appropriately to changing needs of patients, including response to emergency/life threatening situations.OUTCOMES IDENTIFICATION / PLANNINGIdentifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation. Develops and documents an individualized plan of care which incorporates the patient's significant other as appropriate and that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes. Identifies initial and ongoing discharge planning needs. Demonstrates the ability to identify, evaluate and document the patient's response to care given.
