Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit - Advanced Pulmonary Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift, 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 years License: IN or compact license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: COVID and flu vaccines (medical/religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation) Job Description: - Provide nursing care on a 32-bed, mixed-model unit focused on cardio-pulmonary patients.- Handle a primary patient population including cardiac medical, valve replacements, COPD, CHF, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, lung transplant (pre and post), trach-to-vent, neurodegenerative diseases requiring trach-to-vent, trauma (cervical spinal fracture) requiring trach-to-vent, flu, TB, and COVID-19.- Adhere to staffing ratios of 1:4 for PCU assignments and 1:5-6 for MedSurg assignments, with occasional mixed assignments as needed.- Participate in unit charge nurse responsibilities as needed, after training.- Float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as necessary.- Work every other weekend, and occasionally consecutive weekends as per operational needs.- Make up any missed shifts during the pay period or at the end of the contract.- Mandatory orientation of 12 hours provided.- Support team operations and patient care with flexibility and resourcefulness.Please ensure that all requirements are met and appropriate documentation is provided for consideration.
