Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance/ Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, and providing strategic financial insights to support the organization's goals. The main goal will be to create the GL structure needed to have Profit & Loss statements by Business Unit/ Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting principles and practices, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Create, prepare and analyze monthly financial statements by Business Unit/ Medical Center ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Month-End Close: Lead the G&A month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, to meet reporting deadlines. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist Finance team in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, as needed. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost analysis, to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies. Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed to ensure audit objectives are met. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls, and lead initiatives to implement changes. Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role. Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting systems (e.g., Oracle Peoplesoft preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
