Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing specialized care for patients with complex medical conditions. The RN will interpret patient data, administer prescribed medications, and collaborate with healthcare specialists to manage patient care.Key Responsibilities:•Study patients' charts, medication regimens, and test results upon admittance to the progressive care unit.•Track routine vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.•Interpret measurements from specialized medical equipment.•Monitor and administer prescribed medications, as well as perform titration of drug doses.•Perform diagnostic assessments on changes in measurements and execute designated interventions.•Report deteriorating conditions to healthcare specialists and follow intervention instructions.•Update and maintain ward charts, patient files, and medical records.•Oversee Progressive Care Unit nursing assistants and support staff.•Explain treatments and procedures to patients and their families, as well as answer questions.Required Qualifications:•Education: ASN/BSN.•Experience: 2 years of experience in a similar role.•Requirements: COVID vaccine.•License/Certification: BLS, ACLS, RN license (State or compact state).Certifications:•BLS certification.•ACLS certification.•RN license in State or compact state.Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
