Job Duties:
- Study patients' charts, medication regimens, and test results upon admission to the Progressive Care Unit.
- Track routine vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
- Interpret measurements from specialized medical equipment.
- Monitor and administer prescribed medication, including titration of drug doses.
- Perform diagnostic assessments on changes in measurements and implement designated interventions.
- Report deteriorating conditions to healthcare specialists and follow intervention instructions.
- Update and maintain ward charts, patient files, and medical records.
- Oversee nursing assistants and support staff in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Explain treatments and procedures to patients and their families, addressing any questions.
Job Requirements:
- Education: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant nursing role
- Requirements: COVID vaccine required
License/Certification:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- RN license for Georgia State or compact state
